Shelley Stirling-Boyes has been an Associate with Agree since 2007. She is a mediator, facilitator, trainer and conflict management coach. She provides customized conflict management and communication skills training and individual conflict management coaching. Shelley conducts workplace mediation, family mediation, workplace assessments and team restoration workshops and offers partnering facilitation services.
Shelley has extensive experience in the design and delivery of customized conflict management workshops, educating and coaching participants to effectively manage relationships and conflict situations in the workplace. Her deliveries provide learning outcomes that include an increased understanding of the drivers of conflict, conflict handling modes, techniques for establishing open and respectful communication, approaching difficult conversations and strategies for delivering clear expectations in the workplace. She has also developed conflict resolution train-the-trainer programs for organizations.
She is an experienced family mediator and has been involved in court-based mediation programs since 1999. Her focus is on assisting parties to develop clear parenting plans that keep the needs of the children at the forefront and enable parties to maintain a successful parenting relationship. Her strength is connecting with individuals entrenched in conflict to overcome obstacles to settlement and reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
Shelley is on the Ontario Public Service vendor of record for workplace mediation and restoration and is a co-faciltitator for Dispute Resolution 1 - Fundamentals & Dispute Resolution 2 - Mediation, part of the Conflict Management Certificate Program at Conrad Grebel University College, University of Waterloo. These courses satisfy the educational component of ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO) designations of Chartered Mediator (C.Med.) or Qualified Mediator (Q.Med.). She is a facilitator for the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Mandatory Information Program and a Supervisor of mediation interns with Peel Family Mediation Services.
