Basic and Advanced Mediation Knowledge and Skill Building
Mediation is proving to be the single most effective Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process available in the marketplace today.
Alternative Dispute Resolution - Level 1 is a 3-day, in-depth training programme focused on understanding the 4-stage mediation model and practising the mediation process.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice mediation and conflict management skills in numerous simulated negotiations, case studies and role-plays. Strategies for removing obstacles to settlement will be explored and applied.
Sample topics include:
- diagnosing the conflict
- key conflict management skills
- mediation in the organization
Alternative Dispute Resolution - Level 2 is a 3-day workshop that delivers advanced skills and practice in mediation.
The focus of this workshop is upon sharpening conflict analysis and mediation skills. Time is devoted to practical mediation simulations and role-plays, and advanced techniques for breaking impasse to settlement.
Who Should Attend
Managers charged with learning and understanding the mediation process and how it can benefit the organization. Managers wanting to bring mediation skills into their company.
Alternative Dispute Resolution - Level 1 & 2: are approved by the ADR Institute and are offered in partnership with Conrad Grebel University College at the University of Waterloo.
